Who are we and what do we do?

The Chesham Vale Gardeners’ Society was formed in 2021 from two old and established local Societies, The Chesham Horticultural Society and the Bellingdon, Asheridge and District Horticultural Society.

Affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), its aims are to provide a focus for local residents to foster a keen interest in good gardening practice, appreciation of plants and enjoying the company of fellow enthusiasts.

Join our society to exhibit in shows, receive members benefits and our regular newsletters.

Shows

The society runs up to three shows a year – Spring, and Autumn. Entries are open to all members and include classes across vegetables, fruit, flowers, cooking, handicraft, photography and more.

Trips & Outings

Throughout the year the society organises group trips to gardens of interest and other horticultural attractions, often including talks, tours and of course tea and cake!

Socials

As well as gardening-focused activities, the society also runs a number of socials each year.
